Holidays News
from the Vineyard

As we have done every holiday season for the last 35 years, we will be serving cioppino every night from now until the end of December.  This traditional Italian dish is a fisherman’s stew with shrimp, clams, mussels, fish and Dungeness crab in a garlicky red wine and tomato broth.

Wednesday, December 5th

Come in for dinner on this evening and we will donate 10% of your total dinner tag to the Madera 20-30 Club for its Randy Tordini Toy Drive.  The toys will be distributed to underprivileged children in Madera County.   It’s always a great party and all you have to do is come in, eat, have fun with the 20-30 club, and you will be donating to a great cause.deliicious card

Gift certificates make great gifts, and we sell them in any amount you need.  If you are out of the area, call us at 559 674 0923 and we will process your card over the phone and send the card directly to the lucky recipient.

We’ve cried, thrived, and ultimately survived 35 years here at the Vineyard Restaurant.  Our thanks go out to the wonderful and loyal clientele we have had the pleasure of serving throughout these years.  We feel privileged to have shared in so many milestones that have been celebrated here, and for the everyday pleasures of seeing our regulars.  We look to many more years of being a part of this community.

As we have done for the last 31 years, we have a Giving Tree in the lobby for Madera Christmas Baskets, once again wonderfully organized by Malcolm Gatz. There are NYEvetags on the tree for a specific request, or with just the age range and whether it’s a boy or girl. Take a tag, and then return the gift with the tag securely attached. Please bring the gifts here to the Vineyard by Saturday 12/16.

Steak and Lobster dinner for two on the Friday the 28th Saturday the 29th and on New Year’s Eve , along with our special NYE Menu. Make reservations now. The entire NYE menu is on-line at

The Highway 145 off-ramp from southbound Highway 99 is closed for construction. Granite construction hopes to finish and have it opened by Dec 24th, but that is dependent on the weather. To get here when you are headed south, take the Central Madera exit, turn left and go 8 blocks south on I Street; you will see us on your left.  There will be additional construction in the spring, at which time the northbound ramp will be closed.  At the end of all this, Highway 99 through Madera will be wider.

We will be open on Christmas Eve from 11:30 until 7, and closed Christmas Day. On New Year’s Eve we will be seating in the dining room until 10. We keep the bar open till late. We will be closed on New Year’s Day, reopening on Wednesday, January 2.

Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year from all of us.
