What’s New at the Vineyard

NEW MENU

Chef Benjamin has new summer menus for lunch and dinner. They feature lighter dishes for the hot weather. Come in and try Figs wrapped with Bacon. Firecraker Pork Pasta, Angel Hair Pomodoro as well as a Crab and Shrimp Louie. Also new on the dinner menu is Italian Skirt Steak with peppers and tomatoes and Rabbit stuffed with goat cheese and spinach. The rabbit dish was a big hit when we served it at our last wine maker’s dinner. That dinner, with Marcello and Massimo Montecelli was a fun. Their wines are outstanding.

Also try some of the fresh fruit sorbets and gelatos that Ian, the Pastry Chef, is making. They are great. Here is a picture of Mascarpone Mint Chocolate Chip Gelato and Cranberry Orange Sorbet.

MENUS

We frequently change our menus to reflect what is season. That’s why we have figs for the next few months and why we only serve cioppino in December. We have always featured local, fresh, and seasonal foods. We try to take advantage of the great products of the San Joaquin Valley. We also change to try new items to keep you interested. Other than soup and salad there are 4 items on our lunch menu that were on the original menu 33 years ago. Tell me what they are and I’ll buy you a drink.

CLOSED JULY 2, 3,4 AND 5

We will open July 6 @ 11:30. We will also be closed on Saturday July 16 for a private party.

TOM WILLEY ON THE RADIO

radioTom is always worth listening to. Here is information on his next radio show "Down on the Farm" host, Tom Willey, will chew over the raw and the cooked of things this Friday evening, July 1st with Fresno's leading raw food advocates, chef and educators, Judy Nelson and Naomi Hendrix. Raw foodists insist moderns are losing out on vital nutrients by overheating our edibles, while credible evolutionary theorists posit cooking as the singular invention that made us the big-brained humans we are. Tune in as we respectfully cut it up over dicey food issues crucial to your family's health and well being, plus a bonus radio-tasting of delicious uncooked recipes from 5:00-6:00PM on KFCF 88.1FM, Fresno.

CREDIT CARD CHARGES

If you ever look at your credit card statement online right after you visit us, or other restaurants, you will often see an additional charge. The charge is put there by the credit card processor. They hold an additional amount of money to cover the tip, since the tip is not included in the total when we authorize your bill. This charge is usually removed within 48 hours.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS. ENJOY YOUR SUMMER.
