Butcher Block

Here is my grandfather’s butcher block that probably dates from the 1920’s. You can see it is very well used. Rasmeo had a butcher shop and grocery store in Berenda, which eventually became the Berenda Ranch Restaurant. He and my father used it there until the mid-70’s. We moved the 600lb+ piece here last week.

Fig Dinner

The Fig Feast will not be held this year. It had a good 12 or 13-year run, but it appears to be gone. We’ll hope it is resurrected sometime in the future. However, here at The Vineyard we haven’t forgotten figs. We will have a Fig Dinner here at 6:30 on Saturday, August 20, 2016. As I write this the menu isn’t completed, but I know it will start with our signature Bacon-wrapped figs. It will end with the dish that won the Judges Best in Show at last year’s Fig Fest; Fig and Goat Cheese Macaroon, served with a balsamic vinegar reduction. Completed menu and pricing will follow, but we are accepting reservations now at 559-674-0923.

Calamari

Summer Dishessummer burger

Chef Ian has created some dishes perfect for lighter meals on hot days. Citrus Salmon Salad, Fried Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Octopus Salad and of course, our Cheese and Bacon Burger. Lots of our guests say it is the best burger they have ever had, and I agree. We use Harris Ranch USDA Choice beef that we hand-form into patties, which we serve on a Max’s Bakery sesame seed bun. With a crisp lettuce leaf, juicy tomato and slice of red onion it’s a very good burger. If you add cheese and a couple slices of Applewood smoked bacon, it’s a great burger.

Summer Coolers

Dakota's DessertsCome in and ask Joel to make you a Pirate’s Plunder. A mix of rums and fruit juices with a cool blue color. We are also serving two new beers on tap: Tioga Sequoia Golden 99, a lighter golden ale tribute to Highway 99, and Riley’s Brewing Catching Up. Catching Up is an updated IPA with more hop flavor than their first IPA.

Christmas Parties

It’s never too early to plan your Holiday parties. Some patrons book their parties a year in advance, so we book up early.

Call us at 559-674-0923 for reservations and information.
