What’s New at the Vineyard

cioppino

CIOPPINO

As we do every December we will be serving Cioppino. Our Italian fisherman’s stew with Dungeness crab, shrimp, clams, and fish in a garlicky wine and tomato broth is delicious.

Thanksgiving DinnerHAPPY THANKSGIVING

We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day November 24th, and on Friday the 25th we will open at 5. On Saturday the 26th we will be open at 11:30 for lunch and open until 10.

OPEN SATURDAYS

We will be open on Saturdays for lunch and dinner from 11:30 until 10:00. On Christmas Eve we’ll be open from 11:30 to 7. On New Years Eve from 11:30 till?

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Make great Christmas gifts, and we sell them in any amount. We also sell them by phone if you are out of town, so just call us at 559-674-0923 and we’ll get the information.  We can mail the gift certificate to you or to the recipient.

Vineyard Restaurant Gift CardGIVING TREE

This is our 25th year sponsoring the Giving Tree, so graciously organized by Malcolm Gatz. Come in get a tag with a child’s wish, and make it come true. We’ll have the tags with a child’s dream gift on them hanging on the tree after December 1st. You can wrap the gift or not, but please make sure it is securely attached. Please return the gifts by Friday night December 18th.  Last year you brought in over 300 gifts.

ANNIVERSARY

December 13th is our 34th anniversary.

20/30 CLUB CHRISTMAS DINNER

On Wednesday December 14, we will be doing a donation night with the Madera 20/30 Club. If you come in for dinner and mention that you are here for 20/30 Club Night we will donate 15% of your dinner bill, excluding tax and tip, to the 20/30 Club. That’s it.  All you have to do is tell your server.  The 20/30 Club will give the proceeds to The Madera Christmas Baskets fund and to the Rescue Mission.

Pomegranate FestivalPOMEGRANATE APPETIZER

At the popular Madera Pomegranate Festival, we gave out this appetizer. It’s easy and people loved it. Bread slices toasted, spread with brie or cream cheese then sprinkle pomegranate airels (seeds) and chopped pistachios. Drizzle pomegranate molasses over it. Here is the recipe for pomegranate molasses

  • 4 cups of pomegranate juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Bring to boil, simmer for one hour.

That’s it. Simple and tasty.
